Mooresville Monuments & Memorial Gifts opened its doors in fall of 2016 in Mooresville, Indiana. Our purpose is to surround those experiencing loss with ways to honor a loved one’s memory through cemetery monuments and memorial gifts.
At our Mooresville location, we offer an outdoor display of the most popular cemetery markers and monuments. We can also show you the variety of options in size, color, artwork and custom shapes we have made over the years.
Our staff members work with each individual or family using a state-of-the-art computer design program to create a custom monument for your loved one, right before your eyes. You are integral in the process, and together with your design and budget preferences in mind, we can make a beautiful tribute in stone.
Creating a custom marker or monument can be done in conjunction with pre-planning or at the time of need. Many individuals find it comforting to create a monument themselves in advance.
In addition to monuments, we’re also proud to offer more than 100 memorial gift items, including wind chimes, lanterns, stepping stones, music boxes and more. Whether you are shopping for yourself or a friend or family member who has experienced loss, these gift items can offer a treasured keepsake that will last far beyond the funeral service.
We know you have a choice for your monument provider, and we are thankful for the trust you place in us.
Chris and Mary Beth Branson, Owners
Mooresville residents Chris and Mary Beth Branson have been in the funeral industry for many years. Chris began in funeral service at age 17 during summers and holidays at Leppert Mortuary in Indianapolis. After graduating from Xavier University and Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chris spent 12 years at Leppert, leaving as general manager in 2005.
Knowing they wanted to begin serving in a larger capacity, in 2007, Chris and Mary Beth purchased the former Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, now known as Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. The Bransons love the Mooresville community and serve with the same level of excellence that the funeral home has been known for since its beginning in 1895. The Bransons have also owned and operated Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home in Indianapolis since 2017.
Mary Beth has served both funeral homes by working visitations and assisting with family follow-up after the service. She is extremely active with community service, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of United Way of Morgan County. Chris is a member of the Mooresville Kiwanis Club, St. Thomas More Knights of Columbus and is a 4th Degree member of the Bishop Chatard Assembly of Knights of Columbus. He is also a Director at Citizens Bank and a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
